Using the wrong charger for your battery
Using a charger that does not match your battery type can reduce performance and life, or cause damage. Examples: using a lead-acid-only charger on an AGM or EFB battery (wrong voltage profile); using any lead-acid/AGM charger on a lithium battery (dangerous); or using a high-amp car charger on a small motorcycle battery (risk of overcharge or overheating).
Before you buy or use a charger, check your battery label for type (standard, AGM, EFB, gel, lithium) and any max charge rate.
