Charging problem
Slow Charging
Charging takes longer than expected? Check charger output, battery size, and that you're using the right mode (AGM/EFB).
Charging seems to take forever
Charging time depends on battery capacity (Ah), how flat it was, and charger output (amps). Rough rule: hours ≈ (Ah × deficit) ÷ charger amps. So a 60Ah battery half flat (30Ah missing) on a 4A charger might take around 7–8 hours. Cold weather slows charging, and smart chargers taper current in the absorption phase, so the last 10–20% can take longer.
If charging is consistently slow, check: charger is in the right mode (AGM/EFB if applicable), charger output is adequate (e.g. at least 10% of battery Ah), and the battery is not faulty (won’t accept charge). Using a higher-amp charger can speed things up but stay within the battery manufacturer’s max charge rate.
