Lithium Chargers
Dedicated chargers for LiFePO4 and other lithium automotive batteries. Never use lead-acid profiles on lithium.
Why lithium batteries need a dedicated charger
Lithium automotive batteries (LiFePO4) use a different chemistry from lead-acid and AGM. They require a specific charge profile: different voltage limits (e.g. 14.2V–14.6V max for 12V LiFePO4), no equalisation, and often a different float or storage voltage. Using a lead-acid or AGM-only charger can overcharge the cells, cause swelling or failure, or void the battery warranty.
If your car, van, or bike has a lithium battery, always use a charger that states lithium/LiFePO4 compatibility. Do not assume an AGM mode is safe—it is not. In the UK, lithium starter batteries are still less common than AGM/EFB but are growing in use; when in doubt, check the battery label and the charger manual.
